B.F. Goodrich Whizzer Model H Motorized Bicycle
This 1949 B.F. Goodrich bicycle, enhanced with a Whizzer Model H engine, features a vibrant green finish complemented by a silver fuel tank embossed with the Whizzer logo. Power is provided by a 138cc Whizzer four-stroke engine, which produces 2.5 horsepower, driving the rear wheel through a spring-loaded pulley clutch system and rubber belt. The bike is also equipped with a rear parcel rack, a brown sprung saddle, and both rear and side stands for easy parking. Notably, the bike includes both a headlight and taillight, though the headlight has been removed and the wiring secured under prior ownership.
For easy starting and operation, the bike is fitted with a crankset and pedals, while its 26-inch wire-spoked wheels are shod with 2.125-inch Kenda tires. Stopping power is provided by a rear coaster brake. The handlebar features brown Hunt Wilde grips, a Schwinn bell, and levers for throttle, clutch, and decompression valve control. However, no instrumentation is present, so the total mileage remains unknown.
The Whizzer engine breathes through a sidedraft carburetor and a single low-slung exhaust pipe. Under current ownership, the fuel pump, air filter, and spark plug were replaced, ensuring the bike runs smoothly. This vintage bicycle can be ridden manually via the pedal system or powered by the Whizzer engine.
The bike was purchased by the seller in 2024 and is now available at no reserve. It comes with a rebuilt Maryland title, registered under the seller’s name, and lists the bike as a 1949 Whizzer motorcycle. Additionally, the buyer will receive a spare seat and the removed headlight.
Please note, there are some paint imperfections on the frame and fenders, as well as rust on the underside of the parcel rack.
