Imported to the US in 1980, this 1969 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3 is an example from the European market. It has blue leather seating and a silver gray metallic paint job. It is powered by a 6.3-liter V8 engine paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Along with a sunroof, front bucket seats, power windows, central locking, a heater, push-button radio, and 14-inch steel wheels, the vehicle also has self-leveling air suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and a limited-slip differential. After purchasing the vehicle in 2020, the selling dealer had it serviced, overhauled the suspension, brakes, and fueling systems, installed a Timevalve exhaust system and Bilstein shocks, and changed the car’s fluids. Before being put up for sale, 215/70 Uniroyal Tiger Paw AWP II thin-whitewall tires were installed on steel 14-inch rims that had bright-finished covers with body-color centers. Front and rear air spring bellows, as well as torsion bar stabilizers, were part of the car’s self-leveling suspension system right out of the factory. Power-assisted 4-wheel discs are used to provide braking.
